Yamaha 2 stroke restorations, DT IT RD TDR
Hi there and welcome to my little website, if you have just landed here after researching about your old Yamaha I have restored a few old Yamaha's from the late 70,s and 80,s as a hobby. Mostly DT trail bikes from my youth so I thought I would create this website for other enthusiasts to enjoy.
I enjoy giving the bikes a new lease of life from old unwanted bikes that nobody wanted, I enjoy the "I remember them or that's nice I used to have one of them years ago" comments that the bikes get when people see them. I restored my first bike as a one off to keep then I ended up selling it after a few years and have regretted it ever since, it was the Red 1980 DT175MX that you will see on the next page when you go through the site. It was identical to a one I had as a kid, I think that's why most people restore there bikes out of sentiment. I then got another old DT to restore and keep and ended up selling it again just so I could fund the next bike as I had got the restoration bug and its just went from there.
I wish I had taken more pictures of the completed bikes as I was building them before I thought of this site but I will in the future. I am adding to the site very little now due to circumstances but any future restorations will have lots more photos.
Please take a look at the bikes that have been finished, over the years I hope you like them and have a pop back in the future.
If you have any questions about any of the bikes or a bike your restoring yourself feel free to ask, if I can help you I will.
